Why these rules exist
Hospitality depends on trust. These rules apply to every member and to everything you publish or do on Paxika. They are part of our Terms of Service, and we may update them as Paxika grows.
Be who you say you are
- Use your real name, or your real business name, and a profile that fairly describes you.
- Do not impersonate another person or organisation, or claim a qualification, licence, affiliation or experience that you do not have.
- One person, one personal account.
Be accurate and honest
- Keep what you publish true, complete and up to date, including prices, availability, locations and terms.
- Do not post misleading, exaggerated or deceptive offers, or bait-and-switch.
- If something is no longer available, say so or remove it.
Treat people fairly
- No harassment, threats, abuse, hate speech or intimidation.
- No discrimination on the grounds of religion, race, caste, descent, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, place of birth or any other protected characteristic.
- Keep conversations professional, and respect a person's decision to say no.
Keep it lawful, and hold the licences you need
- Do not publish or promote anything illegal.
- Hospitality is regulated. If what you offer needs a licence, registration or approval (for example for food, alcohol, fire safety, employment, immigration or a lease), you are responsible for having it, and for keeping it valid.
- Follow the laws on employment, wages, equal opportunity and consumer protection that apply to you.
Respect other people's rights
- Publish only what you have the right to publish. Do not infringe copyright, trade marks or confidentiality.
- Do not share another person's private information, or messages sent to you in confidence, without their permission.
- Do not collect or use members' information for anything other than the purpose for which they gave it.
Keep reviews and reputation genuine
- Write reviews only from real experience of dealing with someone.
- Do not buy, sell, trade or offer incentives for reviews, or review your own business or a competitor unfairly.
- Do not use the Services to damage a reputation with statements you know to be false.
Stay safe
- Be careful with anyone who asks for money in advance, deposits or fees before you have checked who they are, or who pressures you to move quickly or leave Paxika.
- Do your own checks before you hire, lease, buy, invest or enter an agreement. Paxika does not guarantee any member.
- Paxika will never ask you for your password or a verification code. Do not share them.
Do not misuse the Services
- No spam, scraping, automated access or attempts to bypass security, limits or checks.
- No malware, and no probing of systems for weaknesses. If you find a security problem, please tell us at connect@paxika.com and give us time to fix it.
What happens when a rule is broken
We look at the facts and act in proportion. Depending on how serious the problem is and whether it is repeated, we may:
- ask you to correct or remove something;
- remove or restrict content;
- limit features, or suspend an account;
- end an account for serious or repeated breaches, or where the law requires;
- report conduct to the authorities where we are required to, or where people may be at risk.
We will usually tell you what we did and why, and you can ask us to review the decision through our Grievance Redressal Policy.
Reporting a problem
If you see something that breaks these rules, tell us at connect@paxika.com, or follow the steps in our Grievance Redressal Policy.
